This technology is used as a tool to compile aggregate statistics about the use of the Site for analysis, performance, and optimization. Buildpeer states that it may also use similar technologies, such as web beacons (sometimes called "tracking pixels" or "clear GIFs"). These are very small graphic files that contain a unique identifier that allows recognizing visits to the Site or notifying Buildpeer when the User opens an email sent by Buildpeer. Generally, these technologies rely on cookies to function correctly, so their reduction directly affects their operation.
